Rose Rwabuhihi is the head of the Gender Monitoring Office, a government institution entrusted to contribute to ensure accountability of public, private institutions in implementing Gender Equality in Rwanda. Before Joining the Government of Rwanda since May 2013, she worked for more than 15 years with the UN in several countries in Africa and the United States of America.
She has extensive working experience with Research institutions and NGOs. The main focus of her work has been to promote Gender equality, Women’s Rights in development with specific focus on Governance, Peace and security and Violence against Women. Rose’s academic background is in Communication for development and she holds a High Diploma in journalism.
