Dr. Earlene Avalon
Dr. Avalon is the Lead Faculty and Assistant Professor of the Health Management and Health Science programs in the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts (USA). She holds an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, a Master’s degree in Public Health and a PhD in Health Professions Education. Dr. Avalon’s research focuses primarily on the development of workforce diversity programs and as a former Director at Boston Children’s Hospital she helped to secure a $5 million endowment.
Dr. Avalon has worked in healthcare and higher education for over 20 years, has authored numerous publications, and was featured as a “Women of Excellence” by Unity First Magazine and named to the Honor Roll of Harvard Medical School’s Biomedical Sciences Careers Program.
