Dr. flavia senkubuge

Dr Flavia Senkubuge is a Public Health Medicine specialist, based at the University of Pretoria, with special interest in Global Health. She is the 20th President of The Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA), first black woman and only the 3rd to hold this position in CMSA’s 65 year history. The CMSA is one of the most prestigious bodies of medicine in Africa.

She is the Vice-President of the African Federation of Public Health Association (AFPHA). Current secretary of the WHO/Afro region African Advisory Council on Research and Development (AACHRD). Board chair of the Health Systems Trust (HST), a pioneering non-profit organisation. At heart she is a philanthropist and is passionate about mentoring young people.
