Lisa Russell, MPH is an Emmy® Award-winning filmmaker who has 15+ years producing films and curating creative events for UN/NGO agencies that lie at the intersection of arts, social justice and global development. She is also the Founder of Create2030, a growing network of professional artists that produce creative content, builds sustainable solutions for the creative economy and promotes access and representation of diverse artists in the global health and development sector, with a specific focus on the SDGs.
As an established creative thought leader and woman leader in global health, she is a two time TEDx speaker, UN/NGO contracted storyteller and arts curator, Fulbright Specialist and facilitator of an SDG Storytelling Masterclass with Pixar in a Box. She has been the curator for the Women Deliver Film Festival for nearly 10 years, helping it grow from a one-day event in Washington, DC in 2010 to a three-day festival combining traditional and immersive storytelling in Vancouver this year.
