Dr Josephine Odera is currently engaged as a consultant researcher and trainer in the areas of Transformative leadership, Gender, Diplomacy and Conflict management. Her working experience spans government, academia, civil society organizations, international agencies and Faith based organizations. Dr Odera has taught at the University of Nairobi’s Institute for Diplomacy and International Studies, has worked as a Regional Director in the United Nations (West and Central Africa), has served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kenya Government. She is a mediator and mediation advisor for the IFC-World Bank, Compliance Advisory Ombudsman. She is the immediate past director Africa Centre for Transformative and Inclusive Leadership (ACTIL), Kenyatta University.
Dr. Odera’s recent work has focused on SDGs and Gender Equality, Gender Based Violence, developing gender strategies for government ministries and a variety of continental and regional organizations. Dr. Odera Holds a PhD in Conflict Management from Ghent University, Belgium.
